The emerald grass lizard (Takydromus smaragdinus) is the perfect terrarium lizard. They are small but not very delicate. They are very hardy and simple to keep and breed. They do very well in groups, even multiple males! They eat both live insects and fruit based gecko diets. They are extremely intelligent and will readily learn to interact with their keeper. They are extremely active and acrobatic as they move through the trees. Females are a solid bright green. Males are also mostly green but can be distinguished via a brown strip down their flanks. Babies look like miniature versions of the adults.
