The Iberian emerald lizard (Lacerta schreiberi) is a moderately sized species of lacerta that is mature at around 8-10" including the tail. This makes them one of the easier species to keep due to their modest space requirements compared to their larger cousin the jeweled lacerta. Both the males and females are beautifully colored and patterned. This is one of the most bold of all lacerta species and they make wonderful displays. I am the only person currently breeding this species in the USA but I hope that will change as I start to release captive bred offspring from my breeding group.
